Best line ever supporting player development.... if Whitecaps can't field a team for WRSL regional league then the spot is gone!!!!!!! Screw any other EMSA club that could field a team. Of course this decision would not be made based on money it is clearly based on what is best for the player.

Whitecaps making deals left, right and center with all Alliance team coaches trying to get 04 and older teams over. What happens when parents find out some kids will be paying $1000 to play Whitecaps while the ones that came voluntarily and are paying $1650. Nothing like screwing over your own people. This is how High Standards and Professionals work!!! London TFC the sponsored academy of the TFC MLS club is getting nothing from the EMSA District but screwed over, all this while OS is okay with it. How is this sitting well with them? They may lose their OPDL license in 1 year as they will not be able to make an 2005 girls team. They already were fined twice for not having enough players at games. A lot of girls are leaving at the end of the season. They barely scored enough to keep their license last time OS did their review. OS will have a slogan shortly.......This Is Whitecaps Country!!!!!

Hardly any players voluntarily came out to Whitecap$ London assessments. So how does the club deal with that.....go to OS force EMSA district to grant them a regional spot from another club. Force their players if they want to continue playing regional they must join Whitecap$ London. What a beautiful way to build a club, have clients that feel they forced to join and don't really want to be there. That's how you build a culture in soccer, lol. Can't wait to watch the in-fighting when your program falls on it's face!

Run a great program gets you a call from OS asking why are OPDL players leaving their program and going to yours. Easy response by OS is to accuse you of recruiting, and then threaten your career, lol! Hey OS, why not ask yourself why are OPDL players leaving your "best vs best" league? Is it high cost? Is it travel? Is it that the competiton is actually weak? Is it a whole lot of promises not being delivered?
Here's an idea......go ask the players parents instead of blaming others.
Here's another idea......run a great program and actually attrack players. Blaming everyone else for your short comings and continue to change the rules to force people to play for you is the easy out, look in the mirror and do what's right would be what real leadership would do!

They actually go out and directly harass non-OPDL clubs for OPDL's own shortcomings?

Well it can't be OS short comings as their league is the best vs the best as they tell us all the time. High Standards which means phenomenal programs with the best coaches as they continue to tell us. Clearly this is a result of inaccurate information being fed to people to protect their own programs hence why OS has had 3 meeting in a very short period of time in London to give out accurate information about OPDL. Clearly the anti-opdl people have brained washed parents that have already been experiencing the OPDL to leave and come to their programs. It couldn't be because after all the hype that people see for themselves that it is all smoke and mirrors. Social media blitz in your face 24/7, must be great when they have to tell you it is over and over again! But explain how it's not really what it is hyped up to be and the response is it is a development league, lol. Then why have scores and standings at all?

All the OPL teams announcing how many players were pick to go to Provincial screenings. They make it sound like OS does the selection, why? Is it the easy answer to shift blame when parents question why their child was not selected. As you promised everyone this is their pathway, maybe next yeay, lol. Yet WC send 7 girls and three have never played OPDL. How does that work? Ohhhhhhh the TD recommends anyone and uses the recruitment line "I can send you to provincial tryouts if you come join us". Sounds great, but now you piss off the families that were in your system for the whole year paying the big bucks and nothing to show for it. Hence why the U16 age group is now gone, only U17. This is about the time when families finally realize they've got nothing out of this big money league except empty promises.

Spoke to a parent of a 2004 girl. They left their club for the high performance pathway of the WC. They have been practicing for 3 weeks and she said I quote... "the worst coaching she has received in her soccer career" "in 3 weeks she has learnt nothing" "it's going to be a long year"
Lol, just because "they" say high performance certainly does not mean it is. This is why these clubs are refered to as Used Car Salesmen, sweet talk you but can't produce shit. Welcome to the new OS model, but atleast they have a nice website!!!

Heard that Burlington Girls U17 OPDL may be folding as even with combining U16 and U17 they are struggling to maintain a roster.

Plenty of OPDL teams are low on numbers. 06G WC have 20 signed and looking to sign two more. I don't know the details if 19 and 20 pay a discount to only train or if they pay the same $4000 but 2 will sit a game, either way it's pathetic. Way to big of a roster and parents will get pissed paying top dollar and not get as much playing time. $80000 for one team to play, lol. And their not that strong but hey it's a pay to play model!

No OPDL teams made it to the BMO Cup finals. Both finals were TFC vs OASL with TFC taking 2003 division and Pro Stars OASL taking 2005 division.

Seeing on Twitter that some original SAAC academies will not participate in OASL next year (2019). Anyone hearing something similar?

Hello all,
Rumors are that Academy teams / OASL want to be part of Districts to play against district clubs. Only thing is they dont want to Report to district Offices ( Example Peel Halton District office ) They want to have control over admim procedures. Set up their own Club House ( OASL District Office )
OPDL is sinking quicker than the Titanic.... Lots of players Leaving OPDL Teams... ProStars have had a few players come to them from TFC.

Also for some of these OASL Teams that Play in the GTISL OR Paramont League ( Hershey )
Using Rules from OASL....
Eligibility
ii. Two (2) additional overage players (within 1 calendar year) can be added to a game sheet on a game-by-game basis
Ontario Soccer is not stopping teams from using players that are a Older..

Wondering what everyone’s feelings are re the whole Provincial Projects / Provincial Team thing. My son plays for one of the top OASL academies and has received excellent training from them for the past number of years. He was referred to one of the Talent on Location Days and has now progressed all the way to the Provincial Project stage - meaning he’s in the final 50 or so kids from which 22 will be selected to represent Ontario. It sounds like a great opportunity to play at an elite level and potentially get scouted for the National program - and it’s something he should be very proud of - but he’s actually mostly anxious because in trying to decipher the cryptic and at times conflicting “rules”, he now has 2 weeks to sign on with an OPDL team or he cannot continue with the Provincial Team despite earning his spot? He’s a loyal kid and has already committed to his excellent Academy for the 2019 season. What to do??
