I am glad Luis set this up - thanks Luis your time and effort is greatly appreciated.
I hope this forum grows and is an immensely positive influence on the direction of the game in this country. It is up to us to, the users, to make it positive and to make it part of what I believe is coming - a shift in the collective mentality of stakeholders toward how the game needs to be governed.
It is also up to us, the users, to ensure it does not become a place for a) ridicule b) public shaming or c) bullying. If we want to make a collective, unified stand in favor of a better way then we need to be as professional as we would like the game to be for our kids and the generations to come.
Lets us this medium for positive change... thanks in advance to everyone who will take a leadership role in this area.

Hey marcomollicola ! Thanks for sharing your ideas. Thats the point, to provide a meeting place, where everybody knows your name, to boorrow a phrase, and where we can exchange ideas and information in a fruitful manner to raise the level of the game in Canada for our kids and beyond. The forum is still in BETA form obviously so Im open to ideas. And I have yet to come up with some guidelines for acceptable use. But the general idea is that we are all respectful. The site will need moderators. I have yet to figure out what a moderator does, but the general idea is to moderate the discussion so nobody feels subject to insults, abuse or other unacceptable behaviour. If anyone is interested let me know and I will add you to the moderator list. Ideally, this forum turns into a virtual watering hole where folks can come and vent, rant, share war stories, or even brag about their latest tournament win.

The key is getting people to log in and use this, I am thinking we might want to have a time limit on some discussions to get input going quicker and come to a conclusion? The thing i would like to acheive most is a discussion on topics and then a proposal or solution that can be presented to the forum users or district/prov

Welcome agooner!
Thanks for registering and introducing yourself. Absolutely one of the goals here is to make the youth soccer in Canada easier to navigate by fostering an informed community of parents, coaches, administrators and other stakeholders.
Have a look around and post your thoughts or questions when you get a chance.

Hello, thanks for creating this Luis. Hopefully this forum will help me understand how (why) youth footie in Canada (doesn't) work. Started looking closer into it couple of years ago. I have to admit, Im at the point where I think that people on the top are "just doing things" and don't actually have a clue . I really hope someone can prove me wrong, since I coach and have 3 young kids playing the beautiful game. Anyway, I registered while ago , but finally found time to post something. Looking forward to discussions somewhere else other than twitter

Made it in here finally. Great kickoff message Marco! I agree that there is a shift underway, at many levels. This is a good thing. This can be a positive and insightful tool if used properly.
Looking forward to checking in on what insights people are sharing.
